Lisa, i must say this is one of your best posts ever but then i am a nature lover. ohh, i love my kids too…lol what i mean is, your writings and experiences are usually about raising kids, parenting (loose term applied) you know some general stuff. I must tell you, you truly made my Sunday. I just got out of the hospital this morning at 2 am, my kids calling me every hour or so while I was in the ER. I am ok now but coming home I slept a little,arose just as it was starting to become light and enjoyed the cool, slight mist in the air in Georgia. I logged online as soon as I got up to listen to one of my favorite sites with streaming lectures and I went back on your site as i told myself i wanted to check it out more from yesterday’s busy (and sick) day.
The pictures you took were breathtaking and a true joy. Thank God, i have been experiencing a lot more joy lately in my life as I had a sudden,…..enlightenment. It was just a personal realization and change of attitude. So,this morning im cleaning up and organizing, feeding my (needy)baby cockatiel and i just…loved your post it touched me deeply. You have a lot of the same principles I do in regards to kids and life, believe it or not. I love listening to you share your life and experiences and i just wanted to leave a note and tell you these pictures and descriptions made my day. Thank you and keep up the good work! I am even more motivated now to go to Arkansas and visit their hot springs. I hope to drive again from GA back to my hometown in Texas. woo hoo!

that park looks amazing! How amazing that the park was created with everyone either helping or donating items. That is really good community spirit.

It is good how kids can learn so much more on the road, then they can in a classroom. Our 15 year old said he has learnt more in the last 7 months compared to three years in high school!

love your blog!!! i look forward to reading more, as i live the same travelling life… im not trying to burst your romanticised bubble..

Im a ethnic “gypsy”… first of all, we dont like that term. We like being called by our ethnic group…. which is either a type of Romani, or an Irish Traveller . gypsy is a slur for us by gadje (non-gypsy.)

and i dont know.. I love your blog, but I was googling around, trying to find a momblog from an ethnic “gypsy.” lol. i wanted to learn about traditions to pass to my children :p

I hope you dont take offense, cause I didnt… I guess its just an annoyance of mine, LOL.

any who.. that was all a side note… i honestly love your blog. you seem like an awesome person!!! hope to read more from you!!

Just wanted to say HI!
I work in Deming NM and saw you at McDonalds as I was madly passing through the drive thru on my way back to work. I am a teacher and noticed your kids. How fun for you and your family to go on such an adventure! I actually live in Silver City NM just about 50 miles from Deming so if your still in the area and want to go to a fun quirky little town with many art galleries and plenty of outdoor things to do come up this way. If not enjoy your travels.

I love your list! I’m so glad you are out there following what your soul was calling you to do.

I know in Longbeach WA, you can still have bonfires on the beach.

I think I know someone who makes go-carts….in Salem, Or. I know he at least has raced them.

Have a wonderful time out there, seeing, experiencing and showing your kids the world! At least our little part of it.
